Il Matto delle Giuncaie
IGT Toscana Rosso
Harvest: hand picked and selection of the grapes.
Vinification: in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation temperature is controlled. The duration of maceration on the skins is about 25 days.
Aging: long aging in small french oak barrels and subsequently refined in the bottle.
Color: deep purple red.
Bouquet: intese and complex bouquet of violet, blackberry and ripe red berries on a sweet spices notes of liquerice, tobacco and leather at the end.
Taste: full bodied and strong; its good structure and its velvet tannins make it elegant and smooth. A complex wine, elegant and very well balanced with persistent and long finish.
Size: 375 ml – 750ml – 1500ml
Il Matto is the Sangiovese by Dianella. It comes from the selection of the best Sangiovese grapes from our own vineyards, refined in french oak barrels of second passage and medium toasted. This wine is a true expression of Dianella’s terroir that gives special emotion. Only at the end of the tasting it reveals its tannic structure and its great complexity. Excellent meditation wine and accompanied with game dishes, aged cheeses and grilled meats.
